This product is made with post-consumer recycled polyester (rPET), equivalent to 22 recycled plastic bottles, and is treated with a 100% PFC-free water repellency.

Comfortable and Sleek Design

Purchased this travel backpack for a trip to Europe. When its fully packed with clothing I found that it could fit the under the airplane seat in front of me for the following airlines (Singapore Airlines, AirFrance, ITA Airways and KLM). When worn, it feels comfortable on my shoulders and the hip straps also add additional support. Carrying capacity wise I could fit a medium packing cube and a small packing cube and a suit carrier. The storage pocket on the top can hold your carry on liquids but it quickly fills up. The zipper loop lock is a handy security feature. The side pocket for the water bottle is expandable but I used it for carrying my glasses and a bag cover. The suspended inside sleeve for documents or a laptop is also available. I would liked to have another hidden sleeve pocket positioned at the back padding for additional storage like passports / spare cash. Really loved the protected zipper design and the metal lock that can be further secured with a small padlock. Thanks for Pacsafe for making this travel backpack light was well.

Very good alternative to carry on luggage

I was in two minds getting a carry on luggage or upgrade to the 40L from my other Vibe 28L Anti Theft back pack, which did the job as I needed for a few days away, although could have used the 28L.

There was plenty of room to put additional clothes and only slightly longer than the 28L hence easier to carry on your back and put up in the plane cabin rather then the carry on luggage which takes up space!

Like the 28L and many other products I find pacsafe products are robust, good security features, logo not in your face and value for money.

The only criticism on the 40L Vibe is no external pocket to put wipes and documents and no internal pockets e.g. like the 28L. The 40L has is a large internal pocket for document but just waste of space and not ideal.

If the 40L could have replicated the pocket features both internal and external then it would have been a 5 star.

A perfect travel bag. This will replace my carry on luggage.

Very well made! I like the minimalist look. Not too much zippers (which sometimes you forget where you put the small stuff). Easy to secure feature. It has some weight to it but that means more material and higher quality material. I wish there’s an option to remove the hip belts. It makes it a little cumbersome or have too many straps hanging around. I like the boxy interior, easy to put large compression cubes. Zippers are big and robust and should last a long time. Overall a great buy!

Does what it says with one little niggle

I wanted to use this bag a few times before I reviewed. I first used it as an overnight bag for work trips. For this, there were no issues as it's a perfect size for 2 to three days away and there is a pocket inside for a tablet or laptop.

With this bag being more for someone globe trotting, I put it to good use the last three weeks as I have been travelling by air, coach and train overseas.

The self locking feature is great and after a few goes, it became second nature to open it up with ease making it easy for me to access. There is a small pocket where you can internally attach a wallet so that it's not easily stolen even if a thief managed to open it. There is a little loop to push the zip to the small pocket into so that it's not easily accessed by unscrupulous people.

The bag was the perfect size for carry on bagage on a plane. Check-in staff were happy with the size and even had no desire to weigh it. The shoulder straps are well padded which makes it generally comfortable to carry. One day, upon checking out early, I carried it for several hours, walking 10km and only sat down twice and I'm by no means super-fit. There is also a chest strap and waist strap to make it even more comfortable to carry, but I did not use these, although the size was generous.

There is a hand carry handle which helped when boarding planes, trains and buses. This handle is useful for short uses and not a long term method to carrying the bag - I would always recommend the shoulder…
