It feels like a sturdy, quality bag. The front pocket is difficult to open due to the secure locked zipper, and the side opening means it's not easy to get what you need out. But it's the only exterior pocket, and there's only a small passport holder on the inside, so you will want to use it for those things you don't want to be digging around in your bag for.
I think whether you like this bag will depend on your packing style. It's not a large bag, so if you are a modular or very efficient packer and don't mind that the bag itself offers no organization, it's a good choice. If you would prefer more pockets, I would go for something else.
I carried this bag on a two day trip and was barely able to fit in a bag of toiletries, a hairbrush, a set of clothes and a set of pajamas, my laptop with a laptop charger and a phone charger, and a pouch containing two small paperback books. There was no way to fit in a sweater or snacks, which I would have liked to have for a plane ride, and I ended up also bringing my handbag so I wouldn't be digging around constantly for my wallet, headphones, phone, etc.
I wanted this bag for a trip to Europe this spring. This bag was very secure. Well made. I liked everything about it except the secure zipper. Found it hard to manipulate the piece holding the zipper pull in place. It service the purpose keeping the zippered pocket secure. Just won't work for me.
