I ordered the Metrosafe X Anti-Theft Urban Sling bag for a recent trip to Europe and it did not disappoint. There are four levels of safety devices built into the closure of this bag. First, the two zipper pulls clip together. The zipper pulls each have a hole in them which slide onto a small metal finger at the locking site. Once the zipper pulls are in place on the small metal finger, a protective closure slides over the open part of the metal finger. The locking is completed once one slides a final flat lock into place, which happens only if the previous steps are properly accomplished. The bag was comfortable to wear and roomy enough to accommodate everything I needed to accommodate daily trips into the city. A loop on the side of the bag was used to pull a lightweight sweater or scarf through, helpful to have handy for sites where covered shoulders were required. The loop could also accommodate a water jug with carabiner. I was so impressed with this bag that I was sharing its praises with my fellow travelers. It was a bit of a pain to go through the steps of securing the bag every time, but it worked! And on the one occasion when I put euros in my pocket instead of my urban sling bag, the euros disappeared! I'm assuming I was pickpocketed, but do not recall being bumped or feeling anything suspicious. Others in our group who made the mistake of putting items in pockets also found themselves with empty pockets and another had a thwarted pickpocket attempt…
