Vibe 28L Anti-Theft Backpack

Great bag for carry on.

Absolutely love the clamshell style opening. Main zipper opening is protected by your back while carrying the backpack. Can fit more in this backpack than the 30L venturesafe backpack. This backpack is big enough to fit a weeks worth of clothes but also small enough as an EDC. This backpack partnered with my park design 5L sling is how I travel.

I have some concerns on the durability and how long it will last but so far so good.

I'm 5'2" and it looks big on me but the straps are adjustable. It's a bit heavy to my liking as well but all the security features make up for it. I also have a 25L Metrosafe backpack but I needed a bit more extra space for my weekend trips. I was able to use my 25L Metrosafe to week-long summer trips but it was just too tight. I just travel with a backpack most of the time and I feel like with the size of this backpack I can fit a week+ worth of warm clothes/items in it plus souvenirs. I wanted a backpack that fits under a plane's seat, and although this appears big I'm planning to just squish it under anyway. I wish it was water-resistant though, and it would've been better if the water bottle holder/pocket on the side is bigger/stretchier. All in all, it's definitely a good buy, plus I got it on Black Friday so I couldn't resist the price. Can't wait to use it!

On a previous trip, one of our tour members almost had his contents stolen from his daypack that was on his back. Therefore, I decided to buy a PacSafe Vibe 28L commuter backpack with its security features for my recently completed trip and for a future trip to a foreign country. I wanted a backpack like my current carry on bag that unzips on three sides that folds out like a suitcase, with a handle and shoulder strap. The Pacsafe bag has all those features except for the shoulder strap. I always keep my bag protected under my seat in the airplane instead of the overhead bin where someone could throw their bag over my bag and possibly damage my camera and lens. I like the PacSafe bag compared to my other bag because its dimensions are smaller especially the width of 12.2 inches compared to 14 inches. Unlike my other bag, I can place the PacSafe on its side and it fits under the seat leaving room on each side for me to stretch my feet out (very important on a long distance flight). The PacSafe material is so much lighter to carry than my other bag. Since the length is shorter at 18 1/2'", it doesn't stick out from under the seat. I like the interior straps that secure my jacket and the zippered pockets to hold my cell phone and other items from falling out.
